Ramp is directed by John Giordano, an award winning Boston area college professor with 25 years of experience teaching in the Humanities. Dr. Giordano’s background as an interdisciplinary scholar and visual artist makes him sensitive to a range of academically, technologically and artistically-minded individuals. One-to-one sessions and group workshops focus on writing, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills along with the habits required for success in college and the workplace. Dr. Giordano has started and directed numerous pre-college, early college and high school-college bridge programs over the past two decades in addition to the development of numerous college-community academic partnerships between schools, cultural non-profits and businesses. His diverse background in pre-college, undergraduate, and graduate level teaching and program development has spanned the Ivy League, small liberal arts colleges, visual art and architecture colleges, community colleges and non-school contexts such as museums and healthcare settings. He taught as an Associate Professor at Massachusetts College of Art and Design until 2010, and more recently at Wentworth Institute in Boston and Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts.
